Sit & Go Project

About a week ago I started my sit & go project at Full Tilt Poker. My goal is to build up my bankroll by playing Sit & Goes with a solid bankroll management. A good bankroll management is important if you don’t want to bust your roll. Variance is something you can’t controll, so even if you are the best player in the world you need to be strict about your bankroll.

My plan is to build my way up from $6 + $0.5 6/9 max Turbo Sit & Goes. My bankroll started at $500 and a week later, it is now up to $600. At $700 I will go up to $10 + $1, and when I reach about 60 buyins for the next level I will go up again and so on. It will be interesting to see if I manage to build up a solid bankroll this way, and my dream is to have a solid roll to play in different MTTs. Multi Table Tournaments are my favourites - and where I make most money. But also MTTs have the biggest variance, so I know I need a solid bankroll to play in these tournies.

I will be blogging about this project from time to time, and maybe give you some hand histories from interesting hands. I think this will make my motivation grow and that my playing skills will boost from level to level. Wish me good luck, and I hope to see you at the tables!

My Favorite Poker Player

My favorite poker player is Phil Ivey. The American gentleman was only 23 years old when he won his first World Series of Poker bracelet, and now 10 years later he’s still one of the greatest players out there. He has won five World Series of Poker bracelets in total, and in his 8th Final Table at World Poker Tour he also managed to get a title.

It’s a bit hard to predict exactly, but they say that Ivey has over $10 million in tournament earnings. Impressive, huh? I guess the biggest one was the $1,596,000 prize he received for winning the World Poker Tour at the LA Poker Classic at Commerce Casino.
